South Korean automakers finalize wage talks, shift focus to H2 sales amid market pressures
South Korea's five major automakers are set to conclude their annual wage negotiations as early as Monday, including Hyundai Motor Co. which is holding a union vote on a tentative agreement. This resolution will allow them to concentrate on boosting sales in the second half of the year, facing challenges from US tariffs, increased competition with Chinese rivals, and slowing global demand.
