Bank of Japan Survey: Japan Bond Market Functioning DI Improves to -16 in August from Three Months Ago
The Bank of Japan's bond market survey report for August 2026, released today, shows that the Diffusion Index (DI) for the current functioning of the Japanese government bond secondary market among surveyed institutions was -16. However, this represents an improvement from three months ago, with the change DI at 12.
