US mortgage fixed rates rise on Sept 1, with 30-year at 6.59%, following weekend airstrikes near Hormuz
According to the Zillow lender marketplace, the average 30-year fixed rate increased by four basis points to 6.59%. The 15-year fixed loan rose nine basis points to 6%. These movements follow U.S. airstrikes on Iranian rocket launchers over the weekend near the Strait of Hormuz.
