Brazil's cotton export revenue reached a new record of $5.3 billion in the 2025/26 commercial year, up approximately 9% year-on-year, consolidating its position as the world's largest cotton exporter. The country surpassed the US by over 700,000 tonnes, with China emerging as the largest buyer, partly due to ongoing trade tensions with the US.
