OneRail launches AI platform OmniStar with Nvidia to help retailers make faster delivery decisions
Last-mile delivery company OneRail has launched a new platform, OmniStar, in collaboration with Nvidia to leverage artificial intelligence for optimizing retailers' delivery decisions. The platform aims to help retailers evaluate all delivery options and identify the most efficient one for each order, potentially reducing decision-making time from 20 minutes to two and a half minutes. OneRail stated that OmniStar will enable smaller companies to scale deliveries and improve margins, with some early customers already seeing significant cost savings, such as a large tire distributor saving an estimated $40 million over three years. The company projects the platform will surpass $6 billion in gross merchandise volume in the fourth quarter.
