Rivian announced on August 27 that Chief Financial Officer Claire McDonough will depart on October 30, and Derek Mulvey has been appointed as interim CFO. Since the announcement, Rivian's stock price has fallen by 1.7%, closing at $16.06 on August 31. In contrast, AT&T, Caterpillar, and Pfizer all saw their stock prices rise by 10% to 12% after announcing permanent CFO successors. McDonough will transition to become the CFO of GE Vernova.
