AI safety startup AIR has completed a $50 million seed funding round led by Sequoia and Greenoaks. The company aims to help enterprises audit the skills and add-ons of AI agents and prevent undesirable behaviors.
The company completed two funding rounds: a $10 million Series A led by Sequoia, and a $40 million Series B led by Greenoaks. AIR was founded by cybersecurity experts from Israel's 8200 intelligence unit. Its platform can discover AI agents operating within companies, continuously audit their skills, tools, and components, and block interactions that do not meet security standards. AIR currently has over 20 clients, approximately a quarter of which are large enterprises, primarily in highly regulated industries such as financial services and pharmaceuticals. The new funds will primarily be used to recruit researchers and expand into the US and European markets.
