Veteran Wall Street Analyst Helene Meisler Warns of Potential Stock Market Pullback, Citing VIX DSI Below 15 and Overly Bullish Sentiment
Helene Meisler, a 43-year veteran technical analyst who previously worked at Goldman Sachs, highlights that the CBOE volatility index (VIX) Daily Sentiment Index (DSI) has fallen to 13, which she considers a "flashing yellow light." Additionally, the 21-day moving average of the VIX put/call ratio dipped below 0.40, and the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM) Survey shows professional money managers' bullish sentiment at 102.66. Meisler notes similar readings in 2024 preceded S&P 500 pullbacks of 2% and 10% respectively, suggesting investors may have become too complacent with the market's rise.
