Nikkei Asia Comment: US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Learned the Wrong Lessons from Japan
William Pesek, a commentator for Nikkei Asia, wrote that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has drawn the wrong lessons from Japan, believing that cheap money and a weak dollar could lead the US to lose an unbearable amount of trust. Bessent previously spoke at the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting in Asheville, North Carolina, on August 31.
