OpenAI announced it would cease providing AI model services to Cursor, a programming tool under SpaceX, with Anthropic stepping in as the replacement.
OpenAI stated on August 30 that the move was due to its inability to trust Musk's SpaceX to comply with its terms of service. The co-founder of Cursor said that OpenAI models currently account for only about 5% of its traffic. Anthropic has partnered with SpaceX to increase computing power support for Claude model deployment to ensure service continuity.
