IAEA confirms Syria built nuclear reactor under al-Assad, failed to report facilities and 73 tonnes of uranium
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed in a confidential report seen on Tuesday that Syria built a nuclear reactor in Deir Az Zor under former President Bashar al-Assad, and failed to report nuclear material, facilities, and activities. The agency found around 73 tonnes of natural uranium metal during visits to several sites in Syria in August.
