Global economic concerns resurface, with copper prices falling below $14,200/ton for the second consecutive day.
Copper prices fell for a second day, along with other metals, after a surge in oil prices sparked concerns about the global economic outlook. Three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange fell below $14,200 a ton, after hitting a record close last week. Crude oil prices rose for a third day after the US attacked Iranian targets, and Iran subsequently carried out retaliatory strikes on Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, with the conflicts complicating the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
