Tokyo time on Wednesday, the 10-year Japanese government bond yield briefly rose to 3.004%, and the 30-year yield touched 4.197%, both reaching new highs in nearly 30 years, influenced by hawkish remarks from Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Kazuo Ueda. The Nikkei 225 index opened down more than 2.53% at 64678.49 points, with a single-day drop exceeding 1700 points. South Korea's KOSPI index also fell sharply by 2.19%.
