AI Stock Investors' Peak Demand Fears Eased by Strong Dell, Nvidia Outlooks and PwC's Trillions in Data Center Spending Forecast
Despite AI stock investors' concerns about demand peaking, recent data suggests otherwise. Deutsche Bank analyst Melissa Weathers noted investor sentiment has soured with "peak cycle" fears. However, Dell shares rose nearly 10% today after the company issued fiscal year 2027 revenue guidance $25 billion above analyst estimates, driven by a 58% surge in Q2 sales to a record $47 billion and a 273% jump in EPS. Nvidia also projected 70% revenue growth for fiscal year 2028. Additionally, PwC reported today that global data center spending is set to reach $31.6 trillion through 2050, potentially rising to $50 trillion if AI buildout surpasses historical infrastructure investment cycles.
