Hochtief to acquire German power transmission firm Autmatec
Hochtief has reached an agreement to acquire Autmatec, a German company specializing in transmission line infrastructure. The deal, which is subject to approval by the German Federal Cartel Office, aims to expand Hochtief's presence in the energy infrastructure sector. Autmatec generated approximately €50 million ($57.8 million) in revenue in 2026 and employs around 80 specialists. Hochtief stated that the acquisition aligns with its strategy to pursue growth in markets shaped by long-term investment trends such as grid modernization and energy infrastructure.
