Analysts noted that chip equipment manufacturer Lam Research raised its 2026 wafer fab equipment spending outlook to the $150 billion range, up from its previous expectation of $140 billion. The company anticipates revenue for the quarter ending September to reach $8.1 billion, an increase of approximately 20% quarter-over-quarter. Lam Research achieved record revenue of $23.2 billion in fiscal year 2026, with diluted earnings per share of $5.82, a 41% year-over-year increase, and a gross margin of 52%, its highest in 20 years.
