The firm believes that despite AI competitive headwinds, Autodesk's core business shows healthy growth, improved profitability, and management's confidence in the long-term outlook. The company's second-quarter revenue increased 16% year-over-year to $2.05 billion, billings grew 10% to $1.85 billion, non-GAAP operating margin expanded to 41%, and non-GAAP EPS reached $3.30, all exceeding expectations.

Concurrently, Citi also raised its price target for Autodesk from $269 to $276 on September 1, while maintaining a "Neutral" rating, noting fewer organic growth catalysts compared to its peers.
