Delivery Hero board backs Uber's $14.8 billion takeover bid
The Berlin-based food delivery company's management and supervisory boards independently reviewed the offer and deemed it to be in the best interest of the company and its stakeholders, urging shareholders to accept it. Uber had announced in July that it reached an agreement to acquire Delivery Hero, valuing the German company at $14.8 billion. Prior to the acquisition discussions, Uber had gradually built up its ownership stake, becoming Delivery Hero's biggest shareholder.
