Snowflake shares surge 22% in extended trading after Q2 results and Q3 guidance beat expectations, boosted by AI coding agent adoption
Snowflake's revenue rose 35% year-over-year in the fiscal second quarter, which ended July 31. The company reported a net loss of $191.7 million, or 55 cents per share, an improvement from $297.9 million, or 89 cents per share, a year ago. Snowflake attributed gains to its CoCo artificial intelligence coding agent, which now has 9,100 accounts, an increase of over 2,000 during the quarter. For the fiscal third quarter, Snowflake projects $1.59 billion in product revenue, exceeding the $1.50 billion consensus. Management also raised its full fiscal year product revenue forecast to $6.07 billion from $5.84 billion, and expects an adjusted operating margin of 14.5%, up from 13.5% previously.
