Google (Alphabet) launches new AI models and wins antitrust case, gaining AI momentum after longest monthly losing streak in over a decade
Google (Alphabet) on Wednesday launched Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, its third Flash model in six weeks, focused on coding and agentic tasks with improved reasoning. Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, aimed at cybersecurity, is initially limited to trusted government and enterprise customers. Separately, a federal judge on Wednesday rejected the Justice Department's push to force Google to sell its ad exchange, marking another antitrust victory. Berkshire Hathaway CEO Greg Abel also offered a public vote of confidence for Alphabet's AI position. The stock rose 0.6% on Wednesday after dropping over 1% on Tuesday.
