Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index opened up 0.68% on Thursday, with mainland China and South Korean markets also rising, driven by overnight US tech gains and stable oil prices
The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 171 points to 25,482. Mainland China's Shanghai Composite Index opened up 0.29% at 3,952, while South Korea's Kospi opened 1.33% higher at 6,650. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 also saw gains, rising 0.18% to 64,439 after a stronger open.
