Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Huang Ling demanded that the United States immediately rectify its sanctions against Chinese companies and citizens related to Iran.
Huang Ling stated that despite repeated requests from China, the U.S. has repeatedly sanctioned Chinese companies and citizens using Iran as a pretext, which China strongly resents and firmly opposes. Previously, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had stated that any entity assisting Iran in money laundering or evading sanctions, including Chinese banks, could be cut off from the U.S. financial system.
