Ajit Manocha, President and CEO of SEMI (the global semiconductor industry association), told Bloomberg this week at Semicon Taiwan that, having witnessed various cycles over his four decades in the industry, he now believes the semiconductor sector is in a "never-ending" super cycle. He projects semiconductor industry revenue to reach $1.8 trillion to $2 trillion, noting that this decade is driven by AI, and the next decade will be driven by quantum technology. Manocha also mentioned that all memory companies are actively increasing their production capacity.
