Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated on Thursday that his government is prepared to sign a trade deal with the United States that benefits both countries, emphasizing the need for stability and credibility in any agreement. His comments follow the collapse of trade negotiations last month, after which the US imposed 50% tariffs on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods, with Ottawa's retaliatory tariffs set to take effect next week.
