UK-backed TG Octopus Energy plans to develop 1,000 small-scale solar plants in Japan to reduce exposure to Mideast turmoil
Tokyo-based TG Octopus Energy, a power retailer backed by the U.K.'s Octopus Energy, aims to develop approximately 1,000 small-scale solar power plants in the greater Tokyo region. This initiative is part of an effort to increase its own generation sources and shield itself from market fluctuations linked to tensions in the Middle East. The company targets developing 200 such projects per year through fiscal 2030.
