DR Congo reiterates pledge to move Israel embassy to Jerusalem
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has reiterated its decision to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, following a visit by President Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi. The plan, which dates back to September 2023, makes DRC the latest country to announce such plans, after Colombia recently made a similar announcement. Most countries maintain embassies in Tel Aviv, arguing Jerusalem's final status should be determined through negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians.
