The National Sheriffs' Association (NSA) reversed its opposition to the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act on Thursday, informing Senate leadership it was changing its position to neutral due to the legislation's complexity and ongoing consideration of important details. The NSA had previously warned in May that a section of the bill could provide a "blanket exemption" for mixers, tumblers, and DeFi platforms from anti-money laundering rules. This shift removes one of the bill's most vocal law-enforcement critics ahead of a September vote.
