Autonomous driving technology company Aurora Innovation (AUR) has partnered with McLane Company to launch driverless commercial transportation, a key commercial milestone under Aurora Driver-as-a-Service (DaaS) business model. Aurora Innovation focuses on developing autonomous driving systems designed to operate various vehicle types, including freight trucks and passenger vehicles, and collaborates with industry leaders to achieve scaled commercial deployment of autonomous trucks. The company has also reached an agreement with Hirschbach Motor Lines for 500 future autonomous trucks and expanded its freight network to new routes such as Dallas to Oklahoma City.
