Russian attacks on Ukraine killed at least five people, with Ukraine stating that Russia did not cease its offensive during the US envoy's visit, despite Ukrainian forces previously being ordered to observe a ceasefire.
Russian forces attacked the southeastern Ukrainian city of Kamianske on Saturday morning, killing five and injuring five, according to Ukrainian officials. Additionally, casualties from overnight attacks were reported in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions. This comes after the Ukrainian armed forces were ordered to observe a three-day ceasefire, originally set to begin at midnight on September 5th, but Ukrainian officials clarified that the temporary ceasefire would not be implemented on the front lines due to ongoing Russian offensives. US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff arrived in Moscow on Saturday and will visit Kyiv on Sunday, aiming to propose a peace plan to "end the war."
