Gabelli Global Content & Connectivity Fund: Anterix (ATEX) Stock Surges 169.6% in Q2 2026 as FCC Approves Expanded 900 MHz Broadband Allocation
Gabelli Investment Management Firm's Global Content & Connectivity Fund noted in its Q2 2026 investor letter that Anterix (Nasdaq: ATEX) shares rose 169.6% during the quarter. This was primarily driven by the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) approval in February to expand the 900 MHz broadband allocation from 6 MHz to 10 MHz, enabling Anterix to offer enhanced capacity and expand use cases. Additionally, in May, the FCC approved an experimental license allowing Anterix to explore the use of Lynk Global's satellite-direct-to-device communication network within its 900 MHz broadband spectrum. As of June 30, Anterix represented 8.8% of the fund's net assets.
