The fund cited RCI's position as Canada's largest wireless operator and cable MSO, along with its media business focused on sports and regional TV/radio, including ownership of the Toronto Blue Jays and a controlling interest in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE).
In July 2026, RCI agreed to acquire the remaining 25% stake in MLSE for C$4.35 billion, increasing its interest to 100%. The company plans to consolidate all sports and media assets into a single organization and potentially sell a minority interest to institutional investors to unlock value. The fund's Class I shares gained 12.88% in Q2 2026, outperforming its communication-services benchmark but trailing the broader MSCI AC World Index
