AMD has pledged to invest up to $5 billion in AI company Anthropic, whose IPO prospectus is expected to be released within days after Labor Day.
AMD's investment commitment is a strategic equity investment, subject to certain conditions, and is expected to continue until fiscal year 2028. As part of the collaboration, Anthropic has agreed to deploy up to 2 gigawatts of AMD Instinct MI450 series GPUs. The market anticipates Anthropic's IPO valuation could reach $2 trillion, with annualized revenue hitting $65 billion by the end of July. Its IPO is expected to surpass SpaceX's $86 billion, potentially becoming the largest in history.
