MAS: 8 Institutions Under the PTIS Scheme Donated Over S$30 Million to Overseas Causes in 2024-2025
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) stated in response to a parliamentary query that there are currently eight approved tax incentive recipients under the PTIS, which collectively channeled over S$30 million to overseas ventures in 2024 and 2025 through the scheme. Additionally, single family offices (SFOs) that received tax incentives employed over 2,500 local residents in 2025. MAS noted that these schemes do not mandate specific levels of philanthropic donations but set broader economic benefit criteria for SFOs, such as employment contributions through the SFO. MAS does not track the social contributions of SFOs in Singapore, but the government will continue to encourage their local and overseas social contributions.
