The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) stated in a written response to a parliamentary query that the Investment Management track under the Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass (ONE Pass) framework aims to attract top global talent, such as founders of asset management firms or senior investment professionals who can significantly contribute to business growth. MAS noted that this initiative will help Singapore enhance its competitiveness, anchor capital, expand business opportunities, and create more high-quality jobs for locals. As of the end of 2025, Singapore's asset management industry employed approximately 25,000 people, with locals accounting for about 80% of the workforce. Between 2020 and 2025, local employment in the sector increased by 6,000. MAS also emphasized its active efforts to develop local professionals for leadership roles in the financial sector through collaborations with major financial institutions and talent development programs.
