China regards Qatar as an "important strategic partner" in the Middle East and Gulf region, and both sides agreed to expand cooperation in energy, investment, and advanced technology. During discussions, the U.S.-Iran conflict and disruptions to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz became focal points, with Beijing pledging to strengthen communication and coordination with Doha to help restore regional peace and stability. Qatar stated that despite difficulties, it would prioritize ensuring energy supplies to China.
