Private equity fund Silver Lake plans to merge its portfolio companies Cegid, a business management software provider, and Silae, a payroll and HR platform. The deal has an enterprise value exceeding 10 billion euros ($11.6 billion) and aims to scale investment in research and development, particularly in AI, by creating a 1,400-person developer team. Silver Lake will remain the majority shareholder of the combined group. The transaction is expected to complete in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approval.
