New data from debt tracking firm Circlemark shows that New York City has 274 commercial mortgage loans totaling $5.9 billion maturing between September 2026 and September 2027, with Manhattan loans accounting for 79% of the total maturities. The report also notes that office building loans represent 39% of the upcoming maturities, amounting to $2.3 billion. Additionally, 166 loans worth $2.5 billion are past their due dates but remain unpaid, and 13 of the upcoming maturing loans have already had default filings.
