The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday issued a second request for additional information regarding Fox Corp.'s planned $22 billion acquisition of streaming platform Roku. This action extends the waiting period for the deal's antitrust review, which was signed on June 14, 2026. Both companies stated they intend to cooperate fully and still expect the merger to close in the first half of 2027. The heightened scrutiny stems from competitor concerns about how a Fox-controlled Roku might handle content discovery, advertising data, and home-screen positioning for rival services.
