China's Commerce Ministry on Wednesday forcefully replied to claims by three US agencies (FBI, NSA, CISA) that top Chinese AI companies like DeepSeek, Alibaba, and Moonshot AI have engaged in “industrial scale” theft of US AI models. The ministry dismissed the allegations as an attempt by the US to monopolize the AI industry and warned of resolute countermeasures if the US suppresses Chinese AI companies under the pretext of targeting distillation.
