A study found that the Trump administration's push to lower US drug spending creates a strong incentive for pharmaceutical companies to raise prices and reduce access to drugs in other parts of the world. Researchers noted that for about three in four drugs studied, companies would lose more US revenue by lowering Medicare prices than they would gain from sales in cheaper reference countries used for benchmarking.
