Malware-infected USBs used by Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force were improperly procured, connecting to at least 50 classified PCs
Officials revealed on Tuesday the results of an investigation, stating that USB flash drives infected with malware were used on classified systems after being brought in by personnel without proper procurement channels. The devices were connected to at least 50 PCs. GSDF officials said procurement procedures for USB devices will be reviewed to prevent a recurrence.
