Econergy Acquires French Wind Energy Platform Escofi for €134 Million, Expanding European Base with 740 MW Portfolio
Israel-headquartered independent power producer Econergy announced on September 15 its entry into the French market with the €134 million ($155 million) acquisition of Escofi, a private wind energy platform with approximately 740 MW of capacity. This deal significantly expands Econergy's European wind asset base, bringing its total renewable portfolio to 13 GW. Escofi's portfolio includes 128 MW in commercial operation and 34 MW under construction, with over 90% of its operational and under-construction capacity benefiting from 20-year contracted revenues under France's Contracts for Difference (CfDs) regime.
