Solana lender Kamino taps Yieldstreet co-founder Michael Weisz as CEO for Wall Street expansion into tokenized assets
Kamino, one of Solana's largest lending protocols with $1.4 billion in assets, appointed Michael Weisz, co-founder of alternative investment platform Yieldstreet (now Willow Wealth), as its new CEO. Weisz will lead Kamino's expansion into tokenized assets from a new New York headquarters, where the company plans to hire a CFO and head of legal. Yieldstreet has deployed over $6 billion alongside firms including Goldman Sachs. Kamino's PRIME market, which uses blockchain-based home equity loans as collateral, has seen deposits top $600 million in three months, and the protocol has processed over $650 billion in cumulative transaction volume over four years.
