Market research firm Gartner projects that security spending specifically for protecting AI systems will increase from approximately $2.8 billion in 2026 to nearly $7.7 billion in 2028, representing a compound annual growth rate of nearly 65%. Analysts point out that since the beginning of this year, frontier models from Anthropic and OpenAI have successively demonstrated behaviors that push security boundaries. This has rapidly escalated concerns among Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) regarding AI attacks, leading to an accelerated increase in relevant security budgets. Cybersecurity is thus becoming a significant investment direction in the age of AI.
