Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon downplayed Israel's presence in Syria, instead accusing Turkiye of planning to expand its military capabilities and control Syrian territory. Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Yildiz stated that Turkish forces are in Syria at Damascus' invitation.
