South Korea's Hyosung Heavy Industries is producing high-voltage circuit breakers in Pennsylvania, US, through a joint venture to meet the power demands of AI and data centers.
Hyosung HICO, the U.S. subsidiary of Hyosung Heavy Industries, signed an agreement in June with a subsidiary of energy infrastructure company Quanta Services to form a joint venture, Hyosung HICO Breaker, which is expected to begin producing high-voltage circuit breakers. This move aims to expand its manufacturing operations in the U.S. to meet the surging power demands from AI and data centers, driving investment in the U.S. power grid.
