Germany receives first F-35 fighter jet from Lockheed Martin, ordered in 2022
Germany has received its first F-35A Lightning II fighter jet, part of an order for 35 F-35As placed in 2022. This delivery is aimed at modernizing Germany's military and fulfilling NATO nuclear-sharing duties, replacing its aging Tornado fleet. German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius attended the ceremony, calling the F-35A the "world’s most advanced combat aircraft" due to its stealth capabilities and powerful sensor technology.
