Barclays Research states that the inference stage for humanoid robots needs to be completed on edge processors within the robots themselves. Data center computing power is primarily used for simulation and model training, representing a small incremental gain for data centers but potentially a significant driver for edge computing. Figure and Nscale have signed an initial cooperation agreement worth $3.5 billion, targeting over $6 billion, to support 100,000 NVIDIA Vera Rubin GPUs, indicating substantial incremental demand for data centers even during the development phase.
