Hut 8 co-founder Marc van der Chijs expressed his growing concerns about artificial intelligence (AI) technology in an interview with CoinDesk, stating that humanity has lost control over AI development. He warned that AI could expose vulnerabilities in traditional banking software, thereby threatening the financial system and critical infrastructure. He noted that AI and robots could eventually replace 90%-95% of existing jobs while significantly reducing the cost of goods and services. Van der Chijs previously sold a large portion of his Bitcoin investments to invest in AI, and is now reallocating some of his AI investment profits back into cryptocurrencies, primarily through ETFs. He believes that if he could only hold one asset, it would be Bitcoin.
