Samsung Electronics held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday for a new FlaktGroup heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) plant in Gwangju, South Korea, aiming to expand its capacity to supply cooling systems for AI data centers and advanced manufacturing facilities. Samsung will invest approximately 240 billion won ($179 million) to build a 21,800-square-meter production line in the third complex of its Gwangju manufacturing complex. The plant is scheduled to be fully operational in early 2028.
